Julia Massera was born in Rome she lived three years in the United States in Arizona when she was 13 , now lives in the mountains of Tolfa with her husband as a leather craftsman in the leather goods shop '' '' Tonino since he was 16 .
 He paints since he is a child, but his passion grows with the help of her husband , who taught her the leather work. his dream when he lived in the United States was to become a cartographer on board so that the paintings on leather is often sailing ships and nautical maps .
 She attended the ' INSTITUTE OF ART '' experimental '' Michelangelo of Civitavecchia.
Her works are created by moods that surround it with ease, each portrait or work of fiction that she creates express what she lives at that moment or that a book has passed .
The techniques , tools and sometimes a bit ' weird because they were created by hand , which she used can not be considered real drawing tools , or work because, as already described above tools are created for the occasion at the time of its invention. (In its technical melee carpenter tools , tools for leather, electrician tools , drawing from classical instruments . )
Through the years her husband taught a technique which in turn has learned from an old school that had an ancient Indian tribe in the years of youth, this technique is called low relief and is made on leather ...
she paints in oil, acrylic and watercolor and pencil, sometimes on wood is rare that uses the canvas , but when it does it uses large canvases because he loves the size of each stroke patient who did not ever get bored . ( His best works are on leather even these sometimes large ) .

Giulia Massera è nata a Roma ha vissuto 3 anni negli Stati Uniti in Arizona quando aveva 13 anni,adesso vive nei Monti della Tolfa insieme a suo marito come artigiano del cuoio nel negozio della ‘’Pelletteria Tonino’’da quando ne aveva 16 .
Dipinge fin da quando è bambina ,ma la sua passione cresce con l’aiuto del marito che le ha insegnato la lavorazione del cuoio. il suo sogno quando viveva negli stati uniti era di diventare cartografa di bordo tanto il fatto che nei sui quadri di cuoio rappresenta spesso velieri e mappe nautiche.
Ha frequentato l’ ISTITUTO D’ARTE ‘’sperimentale Michelangelo ‘’di Civitavecchia.
Le sue opere nascono dagli stati d’animo che la circondano con naturalezza, ogni ritratto o opera di fantasia che lei crea esprimono quello che lei vive in quel preciso momento o che un libro le ha trasmesso.
Le tecniche,e i strumenti a volte un po’ bizzarre perché create artigianalmente , da lei usate non possono considerarsi veri strumenti da disegno ,o lavoro perché come descritto già sopra sono strumenti creati per l’occasione al momento dalla sua inventiva.(nelle sue tecniche mischia strumenti da falegname,strumenti per il cuoio,strumenti da elettricista,strumenti classici da disegno.)
Attraverso gli anni suo marito gli ha insegnato una tecnica che a sua volta l’ha appresa da una anziana che aveva avuto scuola da una antica tribù indiana negli anni di giovinezza,questa tecnica si chiama basso rilievo e viene fatta sul cuoio…
Dipinge ad olio ,acquerello e acrilico e matita,a volte su legno, è raro che usi le tele ,ma quando lo fa utilizza tele di grandi dimensione poiché ama la pazienza di ogni tratto che non l’annoiano mai.(le sue opere migliori sono su cuoio anche queste a volte di grandi dimensioni).
